The main structure of the 5m geodesic dome tent is made up of Q235 steel and its surface can be white-coated, black-coated, or galvanized to enhance corrosion resistance. High-Quality PVC Cover
We use 850 g/m² (25 oz /yd²) double-coated opaque PVC and find that compared to another cover on the market, the weight and density are higher and therefore have a stronger fiber structure. Not only does it have better abrasion resistance, it is also generally more waterproof.
Our geodesic dome tent cover also features an IV-rated UV coating. It’s the first line of defense against UV damage from sun exposure, giving you a shady and comfortable experience. Besides, PVC meets the class B1 building materials requirements of DIN 4102-1, which can ensure the safety of you and your guests in time.

The insulation layer consists of a 16-ounce canvas and an aluminum foil bubble, which is not only waterproof and mildew-resistant but also has a warm lining that creates a soft and cozy living environment.
For spring and summer in most areas, you can enjoy the coolness by just installing air conditioning in the dome tent. However, in the cold winter, the aluminum foil bubble sheet can ensure a warm environment by significant thermal insulation up to 15 degrees.
For example, if the temperature outside is as low as -5 degrees Celsius, the tent can maintain warmth up to 10 degrees Celsius, keeping you comfortable in cold conditions. Additionally, this design saves up to 70% on energy costs and is therefore environmentally friendly.
Precision Manufacturing
Traditionally, fragmented fabrics are spliced together using velcro and tie rope, causing the fabric to wobble in the wind and allowing rainwater to seep in easily. In contrast, we use a hot pressing machine to splice the fabrics to create a smooth tent appearance. This method significantly improves the tent's performance in drainage and wind resistance.
The assembly of the frame also tests the craftsmanship of the manufacturers. We use advanced CNC technology to ensure the precision of each steel tube length and screw hole so that we can ensure each component fits together perfectly.
Additionally, Sheltent's strict inspection system checks the thickness and hardness of each steel tube to ensure you feel free of security when using the 5m geodesic dome tent.
Modular Design for Easy Installation
We know that people who choose a 5m geodesic dome tent focus on ease of assembly and portability. Therefore, we prefabricate the Q235 steel frame at the factory. After delivery to the site, 3-5 skilled adults can assemble the tent in 6-8 hours.
A geodesic dome tent cannot be built on uneven or soft ground; the floor must be solid and robust. We have considered this and now offer modularized deck structures composed of high-quality Q235 steel with prefabricated bases.
You can easily assemble the dome platform and tent’s legs to lift the overall structure by 0.5m. This elevation protects the tent from moisture and mosquitoes.
